We have a lot and we treat it with care. Because Extremadura is one of those places where Nature is proud but humble. More kilometres of beautiful coast than anywhere else in Spain. Bird-watching paradises and nooks that will teach you that hiding places still exist.
We have Nature
We have Heritage
And not only because UNESCO says so since 1986, but because we take care of it and share it. Whether in the historic centre of Cáceres, in the Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre of Mérida, the Monastery of Santa María de Guadalupe or the Roman city of Cáparra. Many centuries are among us. As are we among them.
We have Culture
We have a lot of art and we love saying it. The Extremadura and Iberoamerican Museum of Contemporary Art in Badajoz, the Romano de Mérida, the Vostell in Malpartida de Cáceres or the brand new Helga de Alvear Foundation with its new building which houses the most significant private collection of Contemporary Art in Spain.
